Henna is a natural dye from the leaves of the henna plant. It creates a reddish-brown stain on the skin and has been used for body art for centuries, originally from Egypt, Africa.
Jagua is a natural dye made from a tropical fruit. It gives a dark blue-black stain on the skin, similar to a temporary tattoo & is originally from the Amazonian, South America.
Hengua is a mix of henna and jagua. It creates a unique stain that combines both colors, usually a darker brown.
Booking FAQs
It depends on the design! Small designs might take 15-30 minutes, while larger, more detailed designs could take an hour or more.
Henna usually lasts 7-12 days, jagua lasts about 7 to 15, and hengua can last around the same time as jagua.
Make sure your skin is clean and dry, and avoid lotions or oils before your appointment.I recommend you shave & exfoliate your skin beforehand can help the design last longer.
You can choose! I offer both freestyle designs, where I create something unique on the spot, and custom designs based on your ideas.
Aftercare FAQs
After your design is applied, let the paste dry and flake off naturally for Jagua and wash off with soap and water. Avoid washing the area for the first few hours for natural henna, and keep the area moisturized to make it last longer.
It’s okay if getting Jagua done and it’s completely dry and removed properly, but best to avoid water for the first 24 hours when getting natural henna done. After that, quick showers are okay, but try to avoid soaking in water for a long time for a long lasting stain.
If you need to lighten or remove the design, you can gently exfoliate the area or use lemon juice, but it might take a few days to fully fade.
